Sin embargo, dio un espectáculo interesante combinando sus baladas lentas con cosas más “movidas”. Y también me sorprendió su último disco, Fuerteventura (2011). Volviendo al planto musical, segundo álbum ya de este grupo barcelonés compuesto por cinco chicas y un chico (con Santi ya son dos ): “Jueves” (muchos/as dicen que es el nuevo viernes).

Y no se me ha ocurrido mejor canción para celebrar este día que Enjoy the silencio, porque espero que todos/as disfrutéis de Silencio como yo lo hago escribiéndolo. Pero como los autores originales ya se habían pasado por aquí, me he decantado por una voz desconocida pero mucho más sensual. Una sueca que se hace llamar Sue Ellen y que se dedica a hacer versiones de canciones míticas de los 80.

Hands se ha vuelto una canción rompe-pistas de baile, así como radiofórmulas varias. Y también nos marca un cambio de estilo: del indie rock electrónico al electropop ochentero (al menos en esta primera canción). Tiene ni se sabe ya cuántos remixes. De hecho, los han puesto para la libre descarga desde su página web.

1. El título viene que ni pintado (espero la respuesta del susodicho).

No es la primera vez que aquí publicamos una colaboración entre Santi Balmes y Zahara. Ni tampoco la primera vez que aparece Lucha de Gigantes. Pero ante esta revisión que podemos encontrar en el álbum “El alpinista de los sueños: Tributo a Antonio Vega” que acaba de salir del horno, era inevitable que volviera a romper silencios, porque es una pequeña joya.

Si sois asiduos de los conciertos de Love of Lesbian, seguro que les habréis visto ya tocar esta versión. Pero agregar ahora la calidez de la voz de Zahara, le da un punto más, si cabe, de emotividad.

Este homenaje cuenta además con otras voces conocidas (Amaral, Nena Daconte, Ivan Ferreiro, Bebe, Marlango, …) y nuevos nombres que se abren camino o que no ocupan horas en las radiofórmulas (DePedro, Napoleon Solo, Anni B Sweet, …). Seguiremos luchando en “un mundo descomunal” contra gigantes invisibles o no tanto…
