Aún no se había pasado el gran Ben Harper por este blog. Tenía varias propuestas para lanzarlo al estreno (una versión muy buena de The Verve, Burn One Down, …). Pero al final me he decantado por su éxito más conocido: Diamonds on the Inside, segundo single del disco de mismo nombre (2003). Ben es un artista que le imprime un sentimiento enorme a todas sus melodías. Si a esto le sumas que sus letras son diamantes en bruto… Por ejemplo, de ésta me quedo con: «Make sure the fortune, that you seek, is the fortune that you need.» o «So tell me why, the first to ask, is the last to give, every time.».
Por cierto, habrá que estar a la escucha puesto que el 5 de este mes ha salido su nuevo álbum: «White Lies For Dark Times«, donde le acompaña su nueva banda Relentless7, formada en 2008.
