Mano Negra – Love & Hate

Mano NegraHoy toca estrenar otro estilo en este blog: música con ritmo ska y muy multicultural (está cantada hasta en tres idiomas). Ese era el sello de Mano Negra y así se muestra en Love & Hate. La canción tiene ya su tiempo (es de 1994) y pertenece al último disco de Mano Negra (Casa Babylon). Una pena que el grupo se separase, aunque, como diría Humphrey Bogart en Casablanca: siempre nos quedará Manu Chao.

Erik Satie – Gymnopédies

Creo que es la primera vez que traigo música clásica a este blog (espero que no sea la última). ¿Y cuál es la razón? Pues el lanzamiento de un gran libro de un amigo: Tres Gymnopedias de Fernando García Pañeda, que precisamente utiliza esta pieza de piano como hilo canalizador de la historia. Espero pronto poder disfrutar de su lectura acompañada de esta composición de 1888.

Amaral - KamikazeEl 27 de mayo sale a la venta el nuevo disco de Amaral: Gato Negro-Dragón Rojo. Y ya tenemos un anticipo de lo que será su primer single. Os lo cuelgo aquí para que disfrutéis antes de que os hagan odiar la canción de tanto ponerla en todas partes.

Eso es precisamente lo que me ha pasado a mí con Amaral. Me conquistaron desde su primer disco, sobre todo tras escucharles en directo una noche cuando aún no se sabía quién era esta pareja. Con Una pequeña parte del mundo aún eran unos completos desconocidos pero fue llegar Estrella de Mar y cambiar todo: venga a escuchar su música en todas las esquinas… lo que te lleva a aborrecerla un poco.

Eso sí, para mí es innegable que atesoran una gran calidad.

Coldplay – Warning Sign

Coldplay - Warning SignHoy por fin presento a una de mis bandas imprescindibles: Coldplay. Y aunque me quedo embelesada con todas sus melodías, hay una canción que me llega en especial. No está entre las más conocidas del grupo, como puedan ser Clocks, The Scientist, In My Place, etc… Warning Sign es un toque de atención a nuestra conducta. Porque hay que hacer caso a las señales de peligro 😉

Ya estoy impaciente por poder disfrutar del cuarto disco del grupo, que saldrá en junio de este mismo año. Hasta entonces, os dejo con Warning Sign (A rush of blood to the head, 2002):

Annie Lennox – Why

Annie LenoxHoy toca una joya de hace unos cuantos años (Diva, 1992) de la mano de la voz de Eurythmics: Annie Lennox. Poco se puede decir que no se sepa ya de esta artista. Su voz tiene personalidad propia.

Y la canción representa a la perfección esos momentos en los que dejamos de escuchar a las personas que nos importan y hacemos daño sin darnos cuenta.
