Dixie Chicks – Not Ready To Make Nice

Mi perfil en Last.fm me dice que ésta es una de las canciones que más he escuchado desde julio de 2006. Descubrí este grupo country gracias a Bush. Nunca pensé que tendría que darle las gracias por algo… pero lo tengo que hacer: gracias por vetar a estas chicas tras criticar su gestión ;-). Tras ese mal momento, en que fueron boicoteadas y parte de su público les retiró el apoyo (esto se ve reflejado en el documental «Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing«), ellas sacaron un gran álbum: Taking the Long Way (2006), donde podemos encontrar esta melodía. Y en 2007 arrasaron en los premios Grammy, dando con un canto en las narices al presidente y haciendo un canto a la libertad de expresión.

Me encantan el primer y último estribillo: «El perdón suena bien. Olvidar, no estoy segura de que pueda. Dicen que el tiempo lo cura todo… pero aún sigo esperando»
