Ocean Colour Scene – Better Day

Interesante la frase: When youre giving everything away, everybody lets you pay.

Letra:

Sonny signed his name up for tomorrow
And laughed with all this friends
At all the little men who borrow tunes
They heard just yesterday

Davey got us down but we got away
And drank to all the days
That we had whiled away
Just playing robin hood a little out of phase

[estribillo]
And then the nightmares come
And you get blown away
And up in your room your walls are cold
You find your head is holding out
For the welcome of a better day
And then the nightmares come
And you get blown away
And up in your room
Your walls are getting colder
Like you’re getting on a roller coaster
You cant find the breaks

Stevie burned the sky when he flew away
And left us things to say
When all the world was falling down
Around our shoulders; cold and grey

Harry carried on in his usual way
And Minnie went inside
He came out once and we both cried
And Minnie blew my head away

[estribillo]

When youre giving everything away
Everybody lets you pay
Youre saving up for a better day
Seeing things in a better way
When you know you’ve got to live
Theres nothing you wont give
To hear the phone and not let it ring
Every monday morning

Shughie found love and he almost cried
We laughed and wondered why
We loved the sky and found the space
And gazed out over stevies plane

And then the nightmares come
when your friends go away
And up in your room your walls are cold
You find your head is holding out
For the welcome of a better day
And then the nightmares come
And you get blown away
And up in your room
Your walls are getting colder
Like youre getting on a roller coaster
You cant find the breaks

Ash – Polaris

Letra:

Save me
I can’t run this time
Am I under a spell?
Fighting for my life?

So far gone
I can’t turn it round
I feel buried alive
I am screaming out

[estribillo]
Terror in your eyes
Your heart is racing
For the innocence we lost will not return
We know we can’t go on
But were still holding on
Don’t let me be the one
To drag you down

In the silence
Of the lonely night
When your frozen with fear
When your paralyzed
Too delicate
Your fragile mind
It’s so hard to stay in love with life

[estribillo]

I was fighting at your side
A knowing partner in this crime
A beating heart, a distant star
We lost all we we’re fighting for
All the hurt I kept within
I blame myself for everything
For all the regret that remains
For all the pain

Terror in your eyes
Your heart is breaking
For the innocence we lost will not return
We know we can’t go on
But were still holding on
Don’t let me be the one
To drag you down
To drag you down

Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars

Me quedo con su Those three words are said too much. They’re not enough, y es que a veces usamos a la ligera palabras, haciendo que pierda valor su significado.

Letra:

We’ll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don’t need
Anything
Or anyone

[estribillo]
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don’t quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They’re not enough

[estribillo]

Forget what we’re told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that’s bursting into life

Let’s waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

[estribillo]

Forget what we’re told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that’s bursting into life

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

[estribillo]

Forget what we’re told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that’s bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they’re all I can see

I don’t know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

Starsailor – Four To The Floor

Letra:

With hand on heart
your right from the start,
You taught me to take
my part.
No cross to bear,
no reason to care,
my life was all up in air,

[estribillo]
Four to the floor, I was sure, never seeing clear,
I could have it all, whenever you are near.

The iron hand did not understand
the plight of the common man.

[estribillo]

Four to the floor I was sure, that she would be my girl,
We’d rent a little world, have a little girl.
Four to the floor I was sure, never seeing clear,
I could have it all if only you were here.
Four to the floor I was sure that you would be my girl,
We’d rent a little world, have a little girl.

Keane – Everybody’s Changing

Entre ellas, su primer single oficial: The Lovers Are Losing, o Spiralling.

Letra:

You say you wander your own land
But when I think about it
I don’t see how you can

You’re aching, you’re breaking
And I can see the pain in your eyes
Says everybody’s changing
And I don’t know why

[estribillo]
So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same

You’re gone from here
And soon you will disappear
Fading into beautiful light
Cause everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel right
